What do you think of the Idle Argument?
If it is fated that you will recover from this illness, then, regardless of whether you consult a doctor or you do not consult [a doctor] you will recover. But also: if it is fated that you won't recover from this illness, then, regardless of whether you consult a doctor or you do not consult [a doctor] you won't recover. But either it is fated that you will recover from this illness or it is fated that you won't recover. Therefore it is futile to consult a doctor.(link)

There are many in the "word of faith movement" who died and continue dieing assuming God does not use means to heal. It is like saying if you are meant to run out of gas, why bother gassing up, you'll run out either way?

That's not how we are commanded to live our lives. We are to take care of our bodies, that includes going to doctors when we are sick.

It seems like logical extensions of that argument could include:
Why learn to read or write?
Why eat breakfast?
Why get out of bed in the morning?

I thought this argument was an interesting to test and think through of the concept of fate or rather Predeterminism.

If we have no free will, why see the doctor? Everything is already in place.
Howe er, I believe Jesus heals, through faith. According to your faith.
For one Pastor I know that meant beating cancer three times. No surgery. No chemo. Just faith in Jesus. How do you think she found out she had cancer? She went to the doctor. How do you think she found out it was Gone? She went to the Dr. She still regularly gets checkups.
Same Pastor, fell broke her neck. Could Jesus have healed her the same way? Was it a matter of faith? What's a broken neck to Jesus who has power over cancer? However the EMS took her, a surgeon repaired some corroded disk, they said she wouldn't preach again, within a month she was preaching. She still has nerve pain. Is not Jesus still God? It was his will for his purpose this occurred in this manner. Still She sees a Dr.
I know an 84 yr old Evangelist, jumps higher, has more energy then me, healed of bone cancer when dying at the age of eleven, Dr.s had given up. Bone cancer had eaten one of his legs. Drs sent him home to die. Jesus healed him, 73 years ago. He sees doctors regularly.
It is a misconception that those who believe in Jesus Healing, dont go to doctors. Faith is evident of things unseen. As I was taught, how can you know what to pray for or praise him if you dont get a report of what's wrong and what's healed.

If the devil afflicts you with a disease, your will is not free, but bound to seek relief. And based on what you know, you will either pray, seek a doctor or both.
