I am in the process of looking for sackcloth. For prayer and fasting during the upcoming winter season.
Even with God, our lives should have seasons. We are coming to the close of the revival season, spring-fall and coming to the time where we ought to be shedding more of our old man.
through Fasting, Prayer & Study to get some of those roots of evil out. Sometimes you can get delivered, and still have a root. like cutting a rose Bush and not uprooting it, it will try to grow back seasonally.
Anyways I cannot find any information online, everything directs to a store called sackcloth and ashes which sells blankets + donated blankets. Good Cause, but not mine.
I'm looking for Sackcloth and would love any direction or help in purchasing/obtaining real sackcloth.

- שַׂק saq, sak; from 8264; prop. a mesh (as allowing a liquid to run through), i.e. coarse loose cloth or sacking (used in mourning and for bagging); hence a bag (for grain, etc.):—sack (-cloth, -clothes).

I used to buy burlap by the yard at fabric shops. Possibly even WalMart sells it in different weights and colors.

then sow it into a sackcloth attire?
Sidenote: I couldn't picture you fasting in sackcloth lol. then again, I can't picture myself doing it.

I found this translation in the NLT. “They will dress themselves in burlap; horror and shame will cover them. They will shave their heads in sorrow and remorse.” (Ezekiel 7:18)
Normally, you can buy cloth (probably burlap too) in 45" and 60" widths ( I used to work in a sweatshop). Perhaps wear it like a robe? Buy a 60" wide piece twice as tall as you are and place it over your head through a slit? Leave holes for your arms and tie the sides shut with twine? I guess that is how I would do it.

The site sells items used for self-mortification. And, they were more common during medieval times in the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church though doesn’t encourage self-mortification or mutiliation.
