I was looking for articles on the adequate amount of time to spend in different Christian activities, that allows for faithful service, spiritual growth and Kingdom expansion, and ran into the following article:
From my perspective, it deals with a very important topic, and is very interesting to see the feedback in the comments section.
I have had experience trying to support leaders, and I know that ministry is sometimes very difficult.
Many of the problems addressed in the article can be effectively handled by particular ministry methods.
But I would like to receive input on your thoughts, experiences, and the like.
My first thought in reading this was how out of sync the description of church and pastor are with the NT model. That in itself can create unnecessary problems. In the NT, churches met in homes independent of each other. When they outgrew the home another church developed. They had several part-time pastors who worked regular jobs and were primarily examples for the flock. They might also teach, but someone in the body might actually be the teacher. The entire body ministered and it was rare for unbelievers to be there. Today we have just the opposite.
Peace and grace.
